Some of the Belgian Classics have been shortened apparently to help riders with the intense comeback to racing. Many riders and team managers, like Jonathan Vaughters of EF Pro Cycling, have expressed their disappointment as nobody from the peloton had been consulted o the need to change the races' length.


Lachlan Morton of EF Pro Cycling has set a new Everesting record of 7:52:54. The challenge includes a continuous effort (with as many breaks as needed) on a single climb. The rider must also come down the same climb. The target cumulative gain in altitude is Mount Everest's height of 8,848 metres.
